The Chevy Camaro is all set for re-entry as a 2010 model
The Chevrolet Camaro will be coming to dealerships in March 2009 as a 2010 model. First introduced more than 40 years ago, Chevrolet's ponycar retired from the road in 2002.
The four-passenger, rear-wheel-drive performance-oriented 2010 Chevrolet Camaro will take the road in coupe and convertible body styles on the lines of their concepts. The Camaro coupe will roll out in early 2009, while the convertible is expected to arrive at dealerships nine months later.
The upscale 2010 Camaro will be offered in LS, LT and SS trim levels. Under the hood of the Camaro LS and LT will be a 300-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine, while the Camaro SS will have a 6.2-liter V8 engine that will make good 422 horsepower and 408 pound-feet of torque. Efficient six-speed manual and automatic transmissions are available. Fuel economy of the 2010 Camaro LS and LT is 26 mpg on the highway, while the Camaro SS achieves 23 mpg on the highway.
Contemporary style and well-equipped cabin:
The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro shows heritage-inspired, sleek styling with contemporary cues and 18-, 19- and 20-inch wheels on the exterior. It will be offered in 10 body colors. The Camaro convertible will feature a foldable soft top.
The cabin of the 2010 Camaro will get latest technologies such as Bluetooth, OnStar with one-year Safe & Sound Plan and six airbags as standard features. Remote vehicle start system, ultrasonic rear parking assist, Boston Acoustics 9-speaker, 245 watt audio system with subwoofer and USB connectivity will be offered on select Camaro vehicles.
